This was the second stage of the first OOCup. When Daniel Lebar took me for the first time to this terrain (must have been year 2000 or smth?) I remember I was totally amazed. At that time I haven't seen anything like this. Not even on a map from some far away country. Forest totally "white", contour forms like from some wild dream. Even the karst maps we had in Slovenia at the time could hardly be compared with this. Later on, I've found some similar or even more complicated areas myself, but Štonah was definitely the first touch with "super dense" karst terrain... With strong legs, enthusiasm of 22 year old guy (and a bit of naivety too) I thought this was what all orienteering (or at least every OOCup) should strive for... Well, I'm still pretty close to that thinking today, 12 years later.
